Match report: CSK VS MI (14 April 2024)

Remark: an exhilarating match filled with emotion from every part of india, a close battle between the 2 titans that ended with CSK on top. both the team showed excellent performance and sportsmanship. Now lets analyze the game by each innings

1st innings:

MI won the toss and chose to bowl first, which meant that the batting squad of CSK had the crucial role of getting as many runs from the 20 overs allotted to make the later game easier for them. the batters did so with their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad who showed class performance by hitting the crucial 69 runs in 40 balls along with Shivam Dube who bagged 66 runs in just 38 balls, and to finish it off captain cool gave a stunning performance to the crowd by effortlessly scoring 20 runs in just 4 runs making the grand total of 206 runs for MI to chase for victory.

MI bowlers too put up a great show with the new captain taking 2 crucial wickets along with Gerald Coetzee and Shreyas Gopal

2nd innings:

MI now with 206 runs to chase, were ready with their batting squad led by the skipper . Rohit Sharma's incredible opening push with 105 runs in 63 balls gave MI a good starting, which was then followed by Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma who helped MI reach the crucial milestone of 150 runs. But it was all in vain as the  openers did a fantastic job but the middle order lacked in run chase leading to a bad finish by MI which resulted in MI taking the lose at the end of the match.
